Opportunities To Give

The future of Glisson is in the hands of our supporters.  The fees paid by summer campers and retreat groups - alongside apportionment support from North Georgia United Methodist Churches - cover the direct costs of day-to-day operations, but do not help address the long term sustainability or growth of our ministries.  Facility improvements, program enhancements and our ability to offer financial assistance to campers in need are just a few examples of how your gifts to Glisson continue to offer spiritual experiences for campers and retreat groups to meet Christ face-to-face on this holy ground.

Capital Campaign

We are  proud to announce the launch of Serving Generations; a $4.9 million capital campaign for Glisson.  The centerpiece of this capital campaign will be a new Dining Hall, located on the banks of Cane Creek adjacent to Sparrowwood Lodge, as well as a new entrance on the south side of camp property to improve camper safety by removing large service vehicles from the center of camp and a new 30-bed cabin (named in memory of "Uncle Bob" Lanford) to replace two old cabins which will be removed for construction of the new Dining Hall.

This campaign represents the most ambitious project Glisson has ever envisioned.  It is the result of a detailed Master Plan Update process, shepherded by Kaleidoscope, Inc. from 2009-1010, and also a meticulous feasibility study guided by our consultants at Coxe Curry and Associates from 2010-2011.

Wait!  Before you click on the Donate Now button to make a gift to the campaign, please either click on the image to the right, or
visit this page to learn more about the $750,000 challenge gift we recently received - and how making a three-year pledge to the campaign will help us claim that challenge even sooner.  If you're planning to make a gift for 2013, you could pledge the same amount over the next two years to help us get even closer to planning a groundbreaking celebration.

Other ways to give
