THE RELIEF FUND FOR THE FUTURE OF CAMP
UPDATED JANUARY 2021: Friends of camp, you did it! We officially claimed the full $350,000 matching challenge made in May!
While donations made beyond this point won’t qualify for matching, please know they still qualify as mission-critical support as we continue to recover from lost revenue due to cancelled retreats and summer sessions.
To the 997 supporters who raised $763,405 to Stand in the Gap for the future of camp – 11% above and beyond our original goal – we cannot thank you enough!Donate Now
STAND IN THE GAP OVERVIEW
Launched in May 2020, the Stand in the Gap Relief Fund is how you can help secure the future of camp as we recover from retreats and summer sessions cancelled for the safety of guests, campers, staff, and beyond. By early May, our COVID-19 response had already guaranteed a net loss of $700,000 in fixed costs. Since making the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of our summer season, our net loss has grown larger still.
Back on May 4th, generous friends of Glisson gave a challenge gift that would match all Stand in the Gap giving, dollar-for-dollar, up to $350,000. We’re excited to share that thanks to the generous giving of 997 friends of camp we have officially claimed the full $350,000 matching challenge – and the giving just keeps going! Thank you to everyone who has helped raise $763,405 to Stand in the Gap for the future of camp!
While donations made beyond this point won’t qualify for matching, please know they still qualify as mission-critical support as we continue to recover from lost revenue due to cancelled retreats and summer sessions. Across 95 years of ministry, earlier generations have stepped up under challenging circumstances to offer us our experiences of camp – of bringing faith to life. Now is our time to Stand in the Gap to ensure camp is back as soon as possible and for generations to come.
