100 Years Of Glisson
100 YEARS OF GLISSON
Did you know that 2025 will mark 100 years of Glisson?
That’s a lot of campouts and creek hikes!
It’s also countless stories of belonging, discovery, transformation, and calling for hundreds of thousands of children, youth, and adults across a century of camp ministry.
That’s a lot to celebrate! So much so that we’re going to spread it out over a year-long lineup of events (see below). We’ll also be collecting and sharing photos and stories (see below again).
By the time it’s all said and celebrated, we hope to have properly recognized the contributions of generations of Glisson supporters and staff that have provided life-changing experiences of Christian community in support of our shared mission: To make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

Charity Pickleball Tournament
If you or someone you know is a pickleball aficionado, here’s a great chance to game out for a great cause! All tournament proceeds benefit Glisson’s Campership Fund. Check out the link below for info.

100th Anniversary Celebration Events
On-site 100th Anniversary events designed for individuals or families to register and attend for a one-day experience (Saturday) or for an add-on overnight experience (Friday-Saturday). More details and registration coming soon. For now, save the dates!

Be on the lookout for more events and engagement options as we get closer to 2025 – including but not limited to an Open House-style event designed to introduce Glisson to anyone who’d like to take their first steps on “Holy Dirt” during its hundredth year of ministry.

What’s your Glisson story? In honor of the 100th Anniversary, we’re collecting alumni stories of summer camp and retreat experiences across the eras of Glisson’s history. You can write up your story and email it to history@glisson.org or use our Google Form and we’ll contact you with ways to share more.
Alumni Facebook Group
Connect with fellow alumni campers/staff through the Glisson Alumni Facebook Group. There’s already heaps of great stories and photos that have collected there through the years. We’ll also be posting 100th Anniversary updates there on-the-regular leading up to and throughout 2025.
