Honoring loved ones in a beautiful, peaceful, and ecologically friendly final resting place.
About Our EcoEternity Forest
For the last century, generations of families have known Glisson as a place to build friendships, to grow in faith and self-awareness, and to commune with God in nature, making life-long memories. The EcoEternity Forest at Glisson Camp and Retreat Center offers a serene and beautiful sanctuary where nature’s embrace provides solace and connection. Here, the act of remembering a loved one intertwines with a commitment to ecological stewardship, creating a living memorial that honors both life and land.
More than just a resting place, the EcoEternity Forest is a vibrant extension of Glisson’s nearly 400-acre campus in Dahlonega, GA. It’s a dedicated space where the legacy of individuals contributes to the enduring health and beauty of the forest and the life-changing experiences that happen here, ensuring their preservation for generations to come.

Nurturing Nature, Honoring Memory
At the heart of the EcoEternity Forest are memories of loved ones and a dedication to nurturing character and faith in young people. Glisson’s long-standing mission to foster “experiences in Creation” is supported by this sacred space, and a part of the land on which lives will continue to be changed. In the EcoEternity Forest, cremated remains are placed in a biodegradable urn and buried at the base of a memorial tree, allowing the tree to absorb nutrients over time, creating a living memorial. Investments in the EcoEternity Forest not only preserve the beauty of the natural environment, they equip Glisson with the resources to continue these life-changing ministries.
This commitment to stewardship of ministry and land creates a unique environment for memorialization. Families and friends can visit a place that not only holds the memory of a loved one but also represents a tangible contribution to God’s Creation and God’s ongoing work in the world. It’s a peaceful, living testament to life and to living, where the rhythm of the seasons mirrors the continuous cycle of nature and remembrance.
A Sacred Space for Connection
The EcoEternity Forest offers a personal and meaningful way to connect with those you hold dear through the beauty of nature, in a place that holds deep meaning for generations of campers and guests. A peaceful path winds through the forest, inviting quiet reflection. Benches are thoughtfully placed along the way, providing spaces to rest, remember, and feel the tranquility of the surroundings.
This forest offers a sacred place of beauty and reflection, inviting families to honor loved ones in a lasting way. Whether it’s a family tree that becomes a lasting gathering point for generations, or a shared community tree honoring our bond with nature and one another, each memorial fosters a connection to the earth and a celebration of life.
