An Alternative Burial Concept
An EcoEternity Forest is an alternative burial concept for people who desire an interment in nature. Memorial trees are chosen as a final resting place for the cremated ashes of individuals, families or friends. For each burial, a biodegradable urn containing ashes is buried along the “drip line” of the tree. Preserve Natural Forests
A tree interment preserves natural forests protecting them from clear-cutting and development for an extended period of time. In contrast to a traditional scattering of ashes, a tree provides a living memorial. It can be visited, shared and photographed.
Glisson’s EcoEternity Forest was consecrated in 2011, allowing families to provide an ecologically-friendly and peaceful resting place for their loved ones.
“Glisson is a special place for us. … Like so many others, we think of it as holy dirt.
Being buried there will only make it more sacred.”
– Reverends Leigh and Zack Martin
